Dr. Alissa is by far one of the most knowledgeable veterinarians I have used. She is thorough, compassionate, and caring. She is conservative and does not perform unnecessary tests. I do not feel rushed and am not afraid to ask questions. She also takes the time to call to talk about any problems that showed up on lab work and to discuss optional treatments. I won't let Penny see anyone else.

I met Alissa Koschany one Saturday night on an emergency visit to Westbury. My dog, Penny, an 8 year old Beagle mix, was very sick. A young lady who was clearly knowledgeable and compassionate walked into the room, conservatively and calmly ordered some necessary tests, and correctly diagnosed and treated Penny with a bleeding ulcer. I have not been fortunate enough to have dogs all my life. In the last 25 years, I have been the pet parent for two. I treat my pets like children and that is how Dr. Koschany treats Penny. That was several months ago and now Penny is only seen by Dr. Koschany. If you want peace of mind and a caring veterinarian, make an appointment with Dr. Alissa Koschany!

Dr. Koschany is the sweetest, most caring and most knowledgeable vet we have ever known. We have had a dog or dogs for all of our marriage; therefore, we have seen a lot of vets but none come close to comparing to Dr. Koschany. She did enough research to find out our dog has 2 separate auto-immune problems which is extremely rare. She cared enough to go to a conference and talk to other vets to find out the best way to care for our dog. She has gone way above routine care. My dog gets better care than I do! (I have an auto-immune disease also.)

Dr “K”: just want to express my gratitude and appreciation for you being there for me and my fur baby. I get very teary-eyed when I think of the fact of almost losing my baby but God allowed him to remain in my life and I am very thankful to you. You are very gifted. Needless to say, I wanted nothing but the best for Houston and especially a graduate from Texas A&M … you were the choosen one. You can’t even image how my life has changed. I am very protective with him and he gets treated like royalty. He gets walk 4-6 time a day, eat twice a day and snacks twice a day, goes swimming every Sat and Sunday morning and takes a ride in the car almost 7 days a week. He s my pride and joy and my four leggeth fur baby. He is living the good life, healthy and trying to talk. He really is extra special with plenty of common sense. Dr. Koschany has been caring for my 7 animals at Westbury for as long as I can remember. She has helped us with after hours emergencies, routine check-ups, prescriptions and countless items in between. She has a very calming presence, always explains in detail what the situation is and extremely professional. Not only does she provide the best medical care available to my pets, she has taken the time to speak to me on the phone numerous times about any concerns I have and put me at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. K to anyone looking for the absolute best care for their pets. My animals are my family and I would be lost without Dr. K!
